ok, after 4 years I think I'm starting to wise up. My phosphorus levels are almost always high. I realize part of it is probably me, but I mean I've changed my diet a bunch of times and it never seems to help. It always right around the same place, even I don't watch my diet all that much. I'm wondering if anybody might know if I'm doing something wrong, or a better way to bind etc. (Last test results) Component Your result Standard range Units Phosphorus 6.2 (2.7 - 4.5 mg/dL) Component Your result Standard range Units Parathyroid hormone intact 160 (10 - 65 pg/mL) I typically take 4-6 binders of Renvela with each meal, and try to take them with snacks etc. I take them during and throughout the meal. Now I have stomach problems along with low acid so I'm wondering if maybe I should take them sooner, even before I start the meal? I mean I know I don't eat that healthy, but after speaking with people I shouldn't have much of a problem. Possibly just an out of control PTH? Ideas to help me out? |
