Wasn't sure to join, but as I cannot follow up and see how my daughter has saved lives I could enjoy some of your stories............. I would like to tell you all about my daughter as I am limited to share in the UK.......loving young teen, brilliant at school, lots of friend's,happy to help out any1 any time, cept her mum lol.....unconditional.... Tia was diagnosed with chronic asthma at 7,her sister Lana 4yrs later aged 9 diagnosed with terminal cancer.given 10yrs at most, more than most are offered when they received the shocking news, as both my babies were poorly,we often discussed funerals, wants n wishes, state of the world ect.most said I was awful to even talk about funerals with kids,we all agreed if we were to "pop our clogs" others knew what we wanted.being a single mum,I was more of a friend,Lana confided in Tia,2yrs older she looked up2 her big sis,Tia told Lana...."we r both ill n if I can live after so many attacks n u can beat yr cancer,we r strong girls" Lana had confided she was scared to die n didn't want to.I sobbed wondering after being so close to my girls, they stil found comfort in each other....fabulous girls, both agreed if they were to pass even tho we die wen its our time,if they could they would like to save some1 from that fate..... Would prefer,so please excuse my heart,to have my baby back....any mother does,Tia died horribly from an asthma attack Feb this year.tho most of her Body suffered so badly ....heart transplant if she survived severe brain damage...miraculously she gave the gift of life to 3 deserving adults earlier this year, she was rare blood group n a recipient was rushed to Tia to transplant as they were almost gone themselves....they held her on life support til they came to claim her gift to them....last week found out Tia heart valves have saved 2 little boys 3,4yr olds,.........I may nt have my beautiful young lady at my side, but I couldn't be more proud or pleased that Tia has saved 5 lives, but really she saved all their family 2,suffering our pain.I would like to Thank recipients as tho our loved 1s saved them,I think they save us..... A small peice of my daughter is living on in a handful of people......and I'm grateful 4that gift......even tho I shall never meet or know their names........Thankyou all......xx

Hi Niki
I am so proud of you as Mom to raise your daughters to be honest and loving to think about others. My heart goes out to you. I believe that your daughter Tia is looking after you and is very proud of you too :-) She saved those precious families and gave the opportunity for these young children to keep on living. Very few people are brave enough to even discuss organ donation.
I am very sorry that your little girl Lana is suffering with cancer. Is she in remission now?

You have a new friend where you can always keep in touch.
God Bless you all
