ok...thought I would start this new thread and just use it for pictures. That way it won't take so long to scroll down on the other blog.

So some of you know I have been trying to lose weight this year. So far I have lost 34 pounds. I can't believe I am actually going to do this..but I am posting before and after pics. Keep in mind the before pics were taken specifically for that reason....thus the tight shirt, etc. to show the fat.
Hope this does not scare anyone..haha!!

I am looking at these before posting them...on my husbands widescreen monitor...jeez...both of the before and after look wide...oh well. Here we go.

Thank you Risa. Actually, I guess I have inspired my husband...he is now walking..way more than me..like 3-6 miles a day depending on the time he has to do it..and eating healthy at least through the week. On weekends..not so great..but it is a start.. When I showed him these pics he swears he never realized or saw me that way..many people told me that they did not really realize I needed to lose weight. When you are tall ..5'10" you can hide it a little easier plus I NEVER wore shirts like the one in the pic that was tight. They were always loose. Anyhoo. I feel much better.

Heather:

I think you look awesome!! You can really tell in your face and in the picture where you are standing with your backside to the camera. What a great accomplishment. It's not like you were fat or anything, but losing 34 lbs. is a big deal. I bet you feel great! Way to go!!

God Bless!

Wow!!!! Pretty impressive! I guess I never really told anyone here, but I darn near gained 50 pounds in nearly a year after my tx and have slowly lost 25 of it.......this gives me some inspiration. Heather, I may have to find a before pic and then have one taken, hopefully after another 25 or so pounds. Take care and great work! Thanks for being a good friend!

I think it's great you have lost half of what you gained. It is so easy to put it on and not realize just HOW much you have put on. I about died when dad showed me the pic of my face before. I said..how did I get that way??? I was very thin all through my school years into my late 20's. Anyway, I blew up the front and back pics and put them on my frig for the first few months...it helped me a lot to take my hand off that frig handle and go back to whatever I was doing. I know you can lose the weight if you set your mind to it, Jeff!! Take a pic so you will have it.

The hummers were from last year...They were right outside my bathroom window and that little thing sat there just playing in the rain for so long..it was sooooo cute. He loved it. I love these little birds. They are amazing.

I asked for my before pics of my weightloss journey to be taken off here. They were up for quite a while and I assume anyone who cared had already seen them. I do not like them and may post some better ones at some point. I have lost now 38.3...MUCH slower now than the first few months. I was very strict then..now I don't measure all the time..meat and stuff. But I am still very careful of what I eat.

Heather,
YOU LOOK MARVELOUS!
I lost 16 lbs,so far in 3 months. I think I'm gonna try a size 14 next time I'm at wal-mart,(2morro) HA! I'm 52 so Doc said I should lose 3 to 4 lbs. a month. I walk also, it's been 5lbs. a month so far.To me it seems easier to lose in the hot weather,I'm 5'8" so 20 more, I'll be happy.
Your eyes are very close to the color that Jeremy's were. Lovely!
Your pics. are great, You should frame them, very proffesional.
Love,
Kate/Jeremy's mom

Hi Kate!! Way to go on the weight loss. Good job!! I sure do feel SOO much better. I mean it. I never again want to gain my 40 pounds back. That is where I am right now..minus 40 ..yea!! Thank you for the compliments. I am no where near a professional photographer!! Just luck sometimes I think.
Keep up the great work and stay focused..that was what I had to do. Stay focused and stay strong as far as not giving into cravings ..especially late at night... I think the Tofu noodles I eat have helped me tremendously. It is the only pasta I eat for now.

Hi Heather,

Those are beautiful pictures, what kind of photo equipment do you use?.

Photography was my hobby years ago, and I want to get back in it. Right now I am evaluating photo equipment.

Hi Bob. The ones taken from the plane are mine but I used my husbands smaller point and shoot..it is a Panasonic Lumix FZ 28. It takes awesome pics. I have a Nikon D80 which I will take up next time. The ones of me in the plane are with dad's Canon XSI.

Kelli..we have a Wetlands area north of town..about 6 miles from me..and these eagles have a nest somewhere on the river close to there and they have a certain tree they like to sit in..so I drive by there anytime I have my camera..just in case..they are probably there every day..it is just catching them at the right time. There are eagle nests about 20 miles south of where I live..along a river also. I have taken pics of those nests with the eagles in the tree..it is not too close so they pics are not great..but you can tell they are eagles..love when they take off and soar above you..I think they are a gorgeous bird.

Thanks, Dap. Love your pics also. How are you liking your camera? still liking it???

they are so thrilled to have her home. It was a half hour drive one way to the hosp. she has been in. ..and they could only hold her certain times and for so long each time, etc. To have her home and love on her all they want to ..it is awesome. I was so excited to see her for the first time yesterday!! I had to go over for a little while today and say hi to her too. I told Penny I would give them a break from me this weekend..haha. She is a doll. Her little diapers are so tiny it is unreal...but the ones she wore when she was first born were REALLY small. Anyway..I am so happy she is home also...and doing well.

Kelli..thanks. It is a place called Heron Park..it is a wetlands outside the town I live in. Just a few miles away. I go there frequently. That is where we see the eagles flying over also. This year we had pelicans..never had those before ..but there were A LOT of them there this spring..migrating. Also some Sandhill Cranes who actually had a nest and laid eggs but with all the rain..the nest got washed away so don't know if they will come back or not. They said they had not nested here since the 1800's. Too bad the nest got ruined. I hope they come back.

So look what I found after what I wrote yesterday..yep the sandhill cranes are back. They are not that pretty but they are rare so they are special. Hoping they are nesting.
