Good morning

My name is Lee i am 25 years old from Manchester UK
I have allports syndrome from birth, and have been on medication all my life.

on the 28th December 2011 i was at a birthday party and received a phone call asking me to come into hospital as we have a kidney available for you. Stunned of how soon I was contacted. now 1 1/2 years later whet to the hospital yesterday and all is looking well.

I’m so lucky to be here and would love you meet some people with similar experiences

Thanks for reading

Hello Lee and welcome to TransplantBuddies.

We have lots of kidney recipients here, so please make sure you post in the kidney section as well. Glad you are here and very happy that all is going well with your transplant.

Please take care!

Good morning Lee and welcome to Transplant Buddies,

As Don has already stated we have many kidney people here, and they have a special section that deals with many issues specific to the kidney. We also have many folks here from around the world and all walks of life that are pre & post transplant as well as caregivers. Chances are if you have a question there will be someone here who has gone through it.

Hope to see you in future posts, as you become accoustomed to this site you might consider adding a signature block as we have done, listing your condition, transplant center . . .

Have a great day and stay healthy

Welcome, Lee, to the community here. I am glad that you have been blessed with a transplant and that you are doing well. I have found this forum to be a very friendly and informative site that I wish I had known about before my multivisceral transplant. I hope you are able to obtain what you are seeking here. May you find a new reason to smile with each day that comes. Best of wishes.
