I just had to give an enormous thank you to the group for helping me to reach this milestone, my eighth year transplant anniversary, today. It is also my 33rd birthday, so I consider today a double birthday! I could not imagine a better birthday gift. This group has been here for me in my good and bad times and always so kind in lending knowledge, support, and encouragement. In my transplant, I got six new organs: pancreas, spleen, liver, stomach, small and large intestines. This was due not just to gastroparesis, a delay in stomach emptying, but a general deterioration of my entire digestive system over time and a liver proving to be too sensitive to my only other means of nutrition, TPN, or intravenous feedings. I thought I might have been set free from gastroparesis after my transplant such that I could eat like I did when I healthy before I was first ill, but it has come back these last several years. I am still better off than before my transplant and do not regret the hard fight it took to go through that option of last resort as it has given me more time to spend with those whom I love and who are my friends and family just like I feel those in this group are to me. Thank you for eight years of sharing since my transplant, and I hope I can be around to participate in many, many more with you all. Many hugs to all.

Congratulations on a double milestone Bobbie Jo. I have not been on this site much over the last couple of years. But I am so happy for you. You have been through so much yourself, and yet you continue to be so positive and an inspiration to others. Diane
