Hello Everybody!
My name is Rajiv and I am a 41 year old male living in Bangalore, India. I underwent a kidney transplant on 3rd Jan 2014 after about a year of dialysis. My wife is the donor and we are recovering well.
I have tried to capture the details of the surgery on a blog - http://rmishra111.wordpress.com
Take care,
Rajiv

Hello, Rajiv, and congratulations!

Welcome to Transplant Buddies.
I read your blog and looked at all the great pictures. Thanks for posting this. Very interesting.
It is wonderful that your wife was able to donate the kidney to you, which made everything possible. I had a lung transplant, and had to wait until they could find a matching donor, so I found it very interesting to be able to make an appointment for a transplant, which required government approval in your country.
Your expenses are also interesting, having to pay for lawyers and blood tests, etc. over and above what your insurance paid for the procedure.
Bless your wife for saving your life with the donation of her kidney, and best of luck with your post transplant care and medicines.
