Has anyone with liver disease (and or cirrhosis) experienced a reduced sense of taste?

Yes! Huz has PSC which has led to cirrhosis. He has complained that he cannot taste anything. He is on a 1200mg low sodium diet to get to BMI 35 for transplant. It's going remarkably well since he cannot taste the salt that is absent.

I've been watching my salt for years now and I'm not overweight aside from the fluid that builds over about a month or so, then I get that drained. The reduction of taste just started about a week or so ago.
