After I had mine done, I had a weird sore throat, weird cuz it had nothing to do with the TIPS, go figure....a bit of soreness in the neck, but not much pain at all, just a lil awkwardness in the neck. I dont kno if it was my imagination or not, but since I had ascites so bad, the next DAY I noticed a difference in the pressure and size of my abdomen. Very tired of course, but let me tell u something. I see getting the TIPS a sign of luck because 4 days after I had the TIPS done? They called me for a liver. Good luck to u, and let me know how u do, ok? <3

What was you MELD at the time of the TIPS procedure? My ascites is pretty bad, so I'm hoping to get some relief. Thanks

I do not have any experience with TIPS, but I wanted to let you know that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that all goes well for you. Best of wishes.

To be honest, I really dont remember, but at the time I was having to get the para every 4 days and they would take out 18 to 20 liters of crap fluid. It was HORRIBLE. Oh, u WILL get relief, I promise u will. How much are they taking out now?
