Hello Everyone My Name is Peter. I'm currently considering the prospect of donating one of my kidneys but don't seem to have an idea of how i would like to choose a recipient. Anyone in need of a kidney, or knows someone who needs one, please do get in touch with me. I'm Blood Group O+, very healthy, don't drink or smoke, with no history of illness. I DON'T EXPECT to be paid anything but potential recipients will have to foot my travel/accommodation costs for the duration of the meet, testing etc. You can contact me through my email, dunfordpeter@outlook.com |

Hi DunFord, If you truly want to become a donor, the best way is to contact a hospital/transplant center near you. The decision to donate is a noble one, however you do not control who receives it, unless it is for a family member. Normally it would go to the candidate in the most need and one that matches your blood and tissue type. The process is pretty simple involving blood teats and some medical history. The transplant center will determine if you are a suitable donor (you health going forward after donation is a major factor.) Your medical and some other costs will be paid for. Expect to be hospitalized for a short period after donating. The transplant center near you will give you more detailed information and will answer all your questions. Bless you for thinking about donating and good luck. |
