John, I'm 3 years post and my memory isn't as good as it used to be either. I'm 51. I believe the prograf will affect your memory some. I function very well, but have to concentrate and even make notes of important info for reference later. We are changed after our surgeries, our lives, reaction to life events, are shaped by our individual experiences. You can do well, just keep focused and get enough rest and exercise. Research ideas on memory improvement. Best of luck with your studies!

Hi John, Take a moment to turn around and look at the path your life has taken. Could any of the "normal" people have come through any better? Yes, the medications DO tend to "dull" your edges over time. Your life has changed and perhaps you have some limitations, but that means you must work harder to persevere. Your advantage you may not be aware of is the strength of will and determination developed by all you have and will endure. Few are ever challenged in life as you have and may never reach their full potential. When you are able to embrace who you are and treat yourself right, all else will fall in line. I know know you will find success in any endeavor, you have already proven this. Stay Well! |
